I have been a Councillor on first Salisbury District and then Wiltshire Council since 2007.
I am the Wiltshire Councillor for Downton and Ebble Valley Ward and am the Cabinet member responsible for Corporate Services, Arts, Heritage and Tourism. I live just outside the New Forest but enjoy the seasonal changes of the forest on my running route which takes me through the part of the National Park nearest to us.
The New Forest and Wiltshire County often seem remote from each other but it is important to remember that part of the National Park is in Wiltshire and that both organisations have an impact on each other and need to work together.
