Fruity fresh starts in the New Forest

Twelve years ago, Ewelina was living in Poland and working happily as a teacher when disaster struck. Diagnosed with a brain tumour, she was unable to continue working in her chosen profession. With a three-year old daughter to support, she had no choice but to come to terms with her diagnosis while figuring out what to do next. A few short years later, Ewelina brought her family to the UK in search of work and opportunities. As well as a great job, she discovered a passion for the New Forest, and it was right here that she started her own small business – Ewelina’s Home Pantry.

Chutneys and Jams

Formed during lockdown, Ewelina channeled her passion for food and nature into creating a range of homemade chutneys and jams. Using locally sourced ingredients, she’s since gone on to create a wide range of delicious, award-winning flavours.

‘We focus on quality, so wherever possible our preserves are made from produce from local farmers. We only use the freshest, highlight quality ingredients alongside our traditional methods to prepare wholesome preserves.’ -Ewelina

A growing business

She joined the New Forest Marque back in 2022 and has grown her business considerably since then. She recently moved to a new kitchen in Sway where she has big plans to continue developing her flavours using the fantastic local produce available on her doorstep.

‘The New Forest is so special because of the traditional practices like livestock roaming the landscape. It’s unlike anywhere else, and that’s why I make sure I do my bit to protect the area.’ – Ewelina
