Are you already in a green or blue career or looking to start?

You might already be at the start of your green career journey, or more experienced in your job role. There is always room for enhancing networks and widening your knowledge.

The New Forest National Park Authority’s education and youth team coordinates the Green Careers Network. The team facilitates free training and networking opportunities throughout the year, in and around the New Forest area. These sessions are varied in content, style and type of intended audience. Members are welcome to come along to any events which are of most value to their personal development.

Being in a green or blue career can be defined by you! This can include every kind of role or organisation which contributes positively in some way towards the environment. For example, you might work directly in a practical conservation role for a wildlife organisation, the ecological consultation for a construction firm, the sustainability lead for a corporate company, an IT or marketing role for a green organisation, or a student in one of many related fields, and there are countless other examples in between.

How to join?

If you would like to join the network and receive our newsletter, which will inform you of upcoming events and other relevant opportunities, please email us: education@newforestnpa.gov.uk. Specify your name, current area of work or study, and include ‘Green Careers Network’ in the subject line.

If you are unsure in any way if this is appropriate for you, or have further questions, please feel free to get in touch with us for a chat.

Can you support the Green Careers Network?

If you are an employer or training provider and feel you could provide the content or location for a future session, we would love to hear from you! Please email us with your opportunities or ideas: education@newforestnpa.gov.uk

The New Forest Green Careers Network programme is supported by National Lottery Players through the Youth for Climate and Nature Scheme. Find out more here.
