Over half the New Forest National Park is recognised as being internationally important for nature. It’s a world capital for wildlife with many rare species.

Under threat

This extraordinary landscape is under threat from climate change with rising temperatures, wildfires, pests, diseases, drier soils and wetlands, and more powerful and frequent storms.

Get involved

We can all help to protect the planet and the New Forest. Taking a few steps, no matter how small, can all add up to making a positive impact on our fragile New Forest environment.
